    Synopsis

    An epic miniseries about the great dream of  to change the history of Italy.
    Enrico Mattei was the first Italian in the post-war period to believe his country could play a key role in world affairs, and that belief cost him his life.
    After WWII, is appointed Head of the National Oil Company (first  and then ), and becomes a  key player in the Italian economic miracle. He is the first to seek out direct contacts with the Middle East, thus breaking the long-established oil monopoly of the “Seven Sisters” which they can not accept.
