'We're brace face together!': Andrea McLean unveils her new braces on Loose Women and admits she got the dental work to support her teenage son

Andrea McLean has debuted her new braces on Loose Women.

Appearing on the ITV chat show on Thursday morning, the 46-year-old star bravely showcased her dental work, flashing a big grin as she explained the reason for her new accessory.

The presenter confessed that she had always needed braces, but was too embarrassed to get them as a teenager because she was insecure about her looks.

But now that her 14-year-old son Fin had been told he needs a brace by his dentist, Andrea thought she would be a 'hypocrite' if she didn't do the same.

Describe your style…

Classic with a bit of an edge. On TV, inom wear a lot of bright colours, so inom like to stick to neutral and dark colours when I’m being myself.

Who is your favourite designer? 

Alexander Wang. inom think his clothes sum up how I like to dress – they are grown-up and stylish with a twist.

Have you a favourite shop? 

I love Zara. 

What fryst vatten your favourite outfit? 

Grey jeans, a lightweight sloppy black jumper, ankle boots and a leather jacket.

What fryst vatten the most you have ever spent on one item of clothing? 

A full-length sheepskin coat from namn, 14 years ago, which cost £1,000. I still have it, even though it’s so battered now it could probably walk home without me. 

Have you had any fashion disasters? 

I have them daily!
