Beauty and its pursuit through art

Along with Tanuja and Anil Relia's exhibition, the Ahmedabad International Arts Festival will also showcase exhibitions of paintings, The Drawn Image, curated by noted artist Amit Ambalal, and The Portrait Project by hotelier Abhay Mangaldas as part of events on Day 1, October 29.
Citing that Rabindranath Tagore had a different idea of beauty from either Nandalal Bose or Ramkinkar Baij, Amit Ambalal said about his curated artworks, "The concept of beauty changes with time and with the vision of the artist.I have tried to capture the changing notions of beauty over time."
Abhay Mangaldas said, "The portrait project would be an interactive multimedia installation, where the paintings change, but the frame remains the same." The idea is to bring art closer to public.
