Loreen (born Lorine Zineb Nora Talhaoui on October 16, 1983 in Västerås, Sweden) is a Swedish singer and music producer of Moroccan-Berber descent, who rose to international fame after winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan, with chart topping "Euphoria". Euphoria reached number one in 16 countries after the victory.
Interested in becoming a musician, she took part in the Idol 2004 television competition, coming fourth overall. The following year she released her first single, "The Snake" together with Rob 'n' Raz. She has also been working behind the camera in Swedish TV-shows such as "Matakuten" and "Familjen annorlunda" during her hiatus from music scene.

Career
[change | change source]She represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012 with the song "Euphoria" and won.[4] She returned to represent Sweden in Eurovision in 2023 and won with the song "Tattoo".[5][6] This made her the first woman to win twice and also marked Sweden's seventh win, tying them with Ireland for the most wins at Eurovision.
She had also attempted to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest two other times in 2011 and 2017 with the songs "My Heart is Refusing Me" and "Statements". However, she did not win Sweden's selection show Melodifestivalen and therefore failed to do so.
